Our adventures began in 2020, like those of many honest Belarusians. There was everything: harassment, intimidation, unexpected arrivals at the door with checks of children's homes, searches, administrative and criminal charges, detention centers and temporary detention facilities for one person, home chemistry for another. All this is like some silly crime drama, but, alas, it happened and continues to happen in our real life.
We're hanging in there, yes, but our nerves are shattered in 2 years, our physical health too. The only thing that still keeps us afloat in this swamp of hopelessness and gives us hope is support from people. When you realize that you are not alone with this idiocy, that good people support you and worry about you, it keeps you from falling apart and discouraged.
The first time after imprisonment is, as it turns out, not only joy, meetings and family reunion, but also fatigue, exhaustion, state of prostration and disorientation. When you are free, you are fully aware of what has happened, and your physical health is not good. You have to recover, practically in everything.
Our family is sincerely grateful to everyone who was worried about us, who supported us and was always there for us despite the distance. The support — it is very important and very necessary.
How much is needed?
1100€ — for the family's needs during the recovery period: apartment payments, children's expenses, schooling.
