During this difficult time, thousands of Belarusians were left without their relatives and loved ones. It happened in our family too. My husband was repeatedly detained for his civil position, for standing up for our rights, for participation in peaceful marches, for defending the weaker. Several times he was subjected to administrative violations and in the end he was detained and sentenced to 5 years in prison.
My son and I were left without a father, a husband, and the backbone of our family. Despite the fact that my husband is already serving his sentence, the authorities are not calming down. And recently criminal charges have been filed against him again, for newly discovered reasons. There are new trials and new charges… It's very hard to live through.
But my husband is a very brave and strong-hearted man. He will never give up his words, his position and attitude towards the so-called authorities. I believe we will change everything!
Now our family is trying to support my husband and father in every way possible. However, we do not always have enough money to help him and ourselves at the same time. We would be very grateful to anyone who would give us any support at this point in our lives.
