Support for a project that highlights violations in public procurement in Belarus

  • Story

Hi!
We are the team of the independent project about Belarusan economy “Kosht Urada”. We tell Belarusians in simple words where the money in the budget of our country comes from and how it is spent. Perhaps you have seen our texts (or their retelling in mass media). We hope it was interesting and useful. But now we need your help.

The fact is that we have a related project “Open Procurement”, which is also devoted to the state budget. But here we do not focus on the economy in general, but rather on the processes that take place in the area of public procurement. We have also created and actively use the opentenders.tech platform, which reduces the manual labor of analysts, activists and journalists to collect and analyze information on procurement and identify violations.

Thanks to our team's efforts, we have done and written about 80 investigations and analytical articles in the last year alone. Here are a few examples:

After the start of the war in Ukraine, the repair of military equipment in Belarus increased significantly

We need your help so that our team can continue to work and report on public procurement irregularities. We want to raise €5000 — this money will be used to pay the salaries of our analysts and journalists while we look for other ways to fund the project.

How much is needed?

€5000

This money will be enough for 2-3 months of work of our project “Open Procurement” while we are looking for other ways of financing.
