In August 2020, I was a volunteer at the Mozyr TDF. From that moment my life changed dramatically. I actively attended protests and participated in various actions. I received my first fine from the traffic police for signaling in support of the protesters. In January 2021, early in the morning, the criminal investigation officers came for me. I was suspected under article 339 part 2. The case was related to the judge's car, which was painted by activists in October 2020 in Mozyr. I was kept in the TDF for three days. Long interrogations (including by the KGB), a polygraph, threats to the family, a search, seizure of equipment — I had to go through all these events in a short period of time. Then they let me go.
For two months I was under investigation. For another six months I was called as a witness in various criminal cases by people I didn't know. In December 2022 a letter came to my husband's work. The letter contained a request to dismiss him for disloyalty to the authorities. We made the decision to leave the country. We sold our car and applied for a humanitarian visa. When we received a positive answer, we made the necessary paperwork and bought airline tickets. Two days before we left the police came for me again and took me to the police station. A KGB officer talked to me there. By some miracle I was able to get out of there and make an emergency escape.
When we arrived in Germany, we were told that we had to wait 6-8 weeks for our documents. We don't have much money to live on. We don't get our allowance as long as we don't have documents. Our family would be grateful to anyone who can express their support for us during this difficult time.
