Belarusian volunteer “Raccoon,” who serves as a tactical training instructor in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, prepares recruits for real combat. This fundraiser is for a generator, a portable power station, and heating equipment to conduct training in freezing temperatures and without electricity.
Hello everyone,
My name is Raccoon – I am a Belarusian volunteer.
In early 2021, I left for England due to persecution in Belarus for my activist activities. In 2022, I could have continued living and working there safely, but I made a different decision – I went to Ukraine and joined the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment.
That same year, I was wounded. After recovering, I became an instructor. During my service, I have worked with different units and gained significant combat and training experience. I am currently serving in the 63rd Separate Mechanized Brigade, within the 3rd Army Corps, as a tactical training instructor.
My mission is to prepare recruits for real combat: tactical medicine, personal safety, behavior under fire, and teamwork in combat situations. These are skills that directly save lives – both the lives of those being trained and their brothers-in-arms on the frontline.
Training sessions often take place in dugouts, in conditions as close to real combat as possible. Right now, temperatures are below freezing, there is no electricity, and there are no comfortable conditions to speak of. But even in such circumstances, we must create at least basic conditions for effective training.
I am asking for support not for myself, but for all the soldiers who will train with us and continue the fight. We need equipment that allows us to conduct training in cold weather and without electricity. This will directly impact the quality of preparation and, ultimately, the preservation of lives.
