Hello! In Belarus I worked as a teacher. I have small children and a beautiful wife. Unfortunately, we cannot show our faces and reveal all the details of our story, as our relatives are threatened.
In 2020, I could not look indifferently at the ongoing lawlessness in our country, so I went to rallies, signed petitions, did not remain silent on social networks. Soon I started to receive papers at work, they held preventive talks with me, forced me to write explanatory letters because of my beliefs. But I stayed in Belarus to the last to teach my children good and kind things.
In May 2024, the Department of State Security and Police burst into our house, in the presence of my wife and children they put me on the floor, searched the apartment, looked through our phones. I was immediately charged with insulting a representative of the authorities.
I spent several days in the temporary detention center on Okrestina in a punitive isolation cell, where 12 political prisoners were kept in inhuman conditions.
The investigator released me on my own recognizance, but a few days later the investigation under other articles began. Immediately I was dismissed from school.
Our family chose to evacuate from Belarus without waiting for the court verdict. BYSOL helped us in this decision. At the moment we are left without property and sources of income. We need financial help to rent a house, buy food, basic necessities, to take our eldest child to school and buy warm clothes.
Any help to get our family through this difficult time would be appreciated.
