Hello!
My name is Daria [name has been changed for security reasons, BYSOL Foundation has all supporting documents], I am a mom of two beautiful children and wife of a hero husband! Over a year ago, I had a new social role — I became a refugee.
After the elections in 2020, like many non-different Belarusians, we could not stay on the sidelines and turn a blind eye to violence, cruelty, murders and violations of people's rights. So we went to rallies, were on marches, and my husband went on a national strike in 2020.
In 2022, the KGB came to our house. There were searches and interrogations as part of a criminal case. Because of the threat to life and health, because of the threat of imprisonment on political grounds, we were forced to leave our home. The BYSOL Foundation literally saved us and with its help we were able to leave Belarus.
I would like to write that all our problems are in the past, but unfortunately not .
Having passed together with our little children through the primary reception centers and refugee camp, we faced the violation of our rights and inhuman treatment of our children. And now we have to defend our rights and the rights of our children in all kinds of instances, including national courts and the European Court of Human Rights.
Unfortunately, the further this story drags on, the stronger the discrimination becomes. At the moment we are simply left without means of subsistence without explanation or official notification. Among other things, we have not been given our identity documents for almost a year in violation of the Geneva Convention. At the same time, our passports and those of our children were confiscated at the primary reception center.
It turns out that now we are in a foreign country without any documents.
We are very afraid that we will be illegally deported or simply deported back to Belarus.
We live in the provided dormitory of the refugee camp. The area is very small and there are no isolated rooms. We have to save seriously on food to buy necessary clothes or shoes. We cannot change our place of residence or go to work (although my husband and I have higher education) because we are waiting for a decision on granting us refugee status.
We have also filed an application to the court for violation of children's rights because of the refusal to provide medical assistance to our children, who need a number of medical services.
While all this is going on, we need financial assistance in re-education, language courses, medical examination and treatment of our children, as well as in buying school supplies and seasonal items.
Our family will be very grateful to the caring people who will respond!
How much is needed?
€3500
Dental care for the children, (there are documents on the amount of payment from the clinic), integration and language courses, seasonal clothes, school supplies (2 children), medical services and purchase of necessary medicines for all family members, training or vocational training courses, court and postal expenses (without lawyer's services).
