Hi everyone, my name is Maxim!
After the elections of 2020 I, like hundreds of thousands of Belarusians, fought for a fair and free Belarus. For this the regime rewarded me with two and a half years of general regime isolation.
I was detained in November 2020 and charged under articles of the Criminal Code of Belarus 309 (shorting the railroad) and Criminal Code of Belarus 339 (inscriptions and mounting foam on a snuff box). On this occasion my mother once sadly joked: Maybe it's good that you were imprisoned then. Otherwise, when would you have stopped?
And really, when? I don't know, because I never intended to stop.
And so, on November 26, early in the morning, the guests came to me and there it was interrogations, confrontations, again interrogations, trials, stages and so on for 8 months. Then a year and a half in the colony. Everything like many Belarusians after the events of the 20th year.
And on February 1, 2023 my term came to an end, and I returned home to my son.
At home I realized that nobody would leave me alone. Constant inspections, professional talks, neighbors asking about me, the need to regularly check in the inspection I decided to go to Poland, where I am now with my eldest son. He is 15. He is a real helper and friend.
Because of the travel restrictions imposed on me, the move was very difficult and took 6 days. I would not have made it if it wasn't for the help of the BYSOL evacuation team. Thank you! You are doing a great job!
I've been living in Poland for 2 months now and I'm trying to get back on my feet — I'm working different jobs and renting a place. I have saved some money to send my son to school. But it is a very difficult ordeal. And I need help.
During the time I was in the colony, I accumulated a large debt for alimony to my little daughter. There is also a debt for the apartment where my son and I now live in Poland.
I don't like to beg, but being a weak father to my children and being a burden to friends and relatives is even worse. Until 2020, I was quite successful and self-sufficient happy family man. But now I'm starting a new life in a new country. And there is nothing worse than starting it in debt.
Thank you all for your help. Zhyve Belarus!
How much is needed?
€2500 To improve my health, to get my son ready for school, alimony debt, apartment debt, clothes for fall/winter.
