Collection for palliative care for journalist Vadim Dovnar

  • Story

Good afternoon!
This is the BYSOL fundraising team.

A few months ago we did a medical fundraiser for a liver transplant for journalist Vadim Dovnar and raised about €6000. This money was used for the treatment, but unfortunately it did not yield the expected results.

Vadim Dovnar is an outstanding Belarusian journalist who devoted his life to covering important events. Vadim has worked for the Belarussian Business Newspaper, Belorusskaya Gazeta, Radio Racyja, the Ukrainian TV channel ATR and participated in the blockade of Crimea in Chongar. Recently, he administered Nikolai Autukhovich's Telegram channel “Da Voli”.

We sincerely thank everyone who supported Vadim in the last gathering.

However, the situation became more complicated. During the preparation for the transplantation, circumstances that do not allow to perform the operation became clear. It was postponed indefinitely, and we realize that Vadim may not live to see the new operation. We also believe that every person has the right to a decent life, even when there is little to depend on.

We are opening a new collection to provide Vadim with palliative care. Your donations will help to pay for the necessary medical equipment, medicines and medical staff that Vadim will need during this difficult period.

Thank you for your kindness and support. Your help is incredibly important for Vadim and his loved ones.

Sincerely,
BYSOL fundraising team.
