Helping the Dolidovich family who found themselves in a difficult situation after an emergency relocation

  • Story

My name is Irina Dolidovich, I am a Belarussian from Minsk. At the moment I am in Poland with my family, where I managed to get international protection status. In Belarus in 2019, I was dismissed from the Belarusian State Pedagogical University named after M. Tank, for participating in the Parliamentary elections as an independent observer for the BPF. In 2020, because of my participation in the elections, I was harassed by the security forces. This prompted me to make an emergency relocation to Poland.

A few days ago I was informed of the suspension of aid. For some time, since September, the children's allowance had been coming in. There were also problems with housing. Trying to find a solution, I had to face discrimination, tactlessness and xenophobia on the grounds of religion several times. No matter what organization we went to, all we were told was to change our place of residence.

Maybe I could leave with my children again, but it requires another effort — psychological, physical and legal. Staying in Poland is also very difficult: there is not enough money for anything. Our family is in a very difficult situation. We will be thankful to everyone who will support us to solve our difficulties.
