The story of Alexander Kurgan is very similar to that of all the victims of the Belarusan regime. Only four victims in this situation: Alexander, his wife and two children, who found themselves in a difficult psychological and financial situation. Aliaksandr has given his whole life to his favourite job, serving in the Ministry of Emergency Situations. Even when, after the 2020 elections in Belarus, EMERCOM officials were compromised by ridiculous orders, he defended the honour of a true firefighter-rescuer, which sometimes went against the opinion of his superiors.
Apparently this is why, when he was brutally, with brute physical force, detained in his own flat in front of his family, no one from the fire service stood up for him, but only sneakily dismissed retrospectively. Alexander lived his job, repeatedly saving people's lives, risking his own. It was his love of people and work that stopped him from moving to another country. He believed that Belarus would become a democratic state where human life would become the highest value. After 24 hours of detention the family had no information about his whereabouts or the reasons for his detention. Only with difficulty the lawyer could find out any information.
He is now in prison. He is charged with two articles of the Criminal Code (369 and 130 part 3). Alexander's family is in a difficult psychological and financial situation. Within a month they are demanded to pay back the contract money, as Alexander was fired before it was finished. The amount is 7,700 Belarusian roubles.
We ask for help from every not indifferent person.
