Hello!
My name is Alena [name changed for security reasons, BYSOL Foundation has all supporting documents]. 15 years ago, I took custody of a little girl who became my family.
My daughter studied at school with almost perfect grades. She enjoyed studying in the TV studio and even starred in movies.
On August 31, 2021, I was arrested and sentenced to a general regime colony for a year. My whole family was subjected to repression. Three women from the guardianship authorities came to our house and threatened the children. They brought them to tears and said they would take them to an orphanage.
On the background of stress, my daughter had a fever. The women took advantage of this, sent her to the hospital and from there to another family. At that time, the daughter was in the 11th grade. She took the story very hard.
Despite the fact that I was in prison, I was able to pay for my daughter's university preparatory courses through my acquaintances.
When I was released, I left the country with my younger son, while my daughter stayed in Belarus. She is a creative person and wants to get a creative profession. That's why she passed the exams and entered the university in Lithuania.
Now she needs to pay for her studies. I cannot do it myself, because I am in migration with a minor child, and my income is barely enough for the two of us. But it is very important to me that the girl, whom I took in as a little girl and taught a lot, is not left without support at this important moment in her life.
