My name is Chikalev Denis. Prior to the 2020 elections, I actively helped the United HQ as a volunteer. Participated in peaceful actions. On August 9th I was in Minsk near Stella, and on August 10th I was detained under Article 293 part 1. Physical violence was used during the detention.
Then I was charged under Article 293 part 2 and spent 7.5 months in the detention center in Volodarskogo.
At the very beginning I was declared a political prisoner. At the end of the preliminary investigation I was reclassified to article 342 part 1 and on March 28th, 2021 I was sentenced to three years of restricted freedom.
A claim was filed against me by Minsktrans in the amount of 6,126 rubles 81 kopecks in compensation for the damage caused by blocking the roads (I did not block the roads).
I was forced to leave Belarus.
