Belarusian volunteer fighter: Help Adapt After the War

  • Story

Dear friends,
I am a Belarusian volunteer who served in the ranks of the Kastus Kalinouski Regiment in Ukraine. For security reasons, I cannot disclose my name or call sign at this moment, but all supporting documents have been provided to the foundation.

At the beginning of 2023, I arrived in Ukraine to join the fight against Russian aggression. My main motivation was the belief that Ukraine's victory would be a crucial step toward the liberation and independence of Belarus.

After completing basic military and medical training, I served in a medical unit, evacuating wounded soldiers from the most intense frontline areas – Bakhmut, Horlivka, and Kharkiv. The toughest challenge was the evacuation near Horlivka, where my team transported over 20 wounded soldiers in just one day, with the total number of evacuees that day exceeding 65.

Later, I served in a heavy weapons unit and then in reconnaissance on the Kharkiv front. In March 2025, I was forced to terminate my contract and leave the frontline due to the tragic loss of my comrades. After these events, I realized I could no longer effectively carry out frontline duties.

Today, I am in Europe, facing the need for medical treatment and rehabilitation. My participation in combat has left me with health issues, including sleep disorders, difficulties with social adaptation, as well as physical injuries and dental problems.
I am currently raising €3000 for:
€1500 for medical care (traumatologist, dentist, psychiatric treatment).
€1500 for housing and daily expenses for two months while I undergo social adaptation and job searching.

I am deeply grateful to everyone who chooses to support me during this difficult transition to civilian life. Your help is my chance to get back on my feet and move forward.
Thank you for your kindness and support!
