We are a family of 3. Our daughter is 11 years old.
In January my wife and I were detained by the punishers for participating in the 2020 rallies in Minsk. We were put in a detention center for 4 months, and then we were convicted under Article 342 and sentenced to 3 years of “chemistry.
While we were in jail my daughter was being watched by a retired grandmother. The other grandmother (my mother, 84 years old) needed looking after herself. Her neighbors helped her during that time.
Unfortunately, we were both out of work. Finding a new job with our convictions is quite difficult, because employers are afraid of police attention. We have accumulated debt for rent (4 months of 300 euros each) and for utilities. Also, due to the fact that all our means of communication were broken when we were detained (only my daughter's laptop is still intact), we borrowed two very simple 400-ruble phones from the operator A1. Also food for 3 people takes a big part of the budget.
We are looking for a way out of this situation and put things in order, but in the meantime, we ask you to support our family financially.
