We've raised more than a million! BYSOL's 2025 year

We are summing up the results of 2025 and would like to present them through key figures. They demonstrate the solidarity of Belarusians, the strength of our community, and our ability to act together. Shall we take a look?

BYSOL is known for its fundraising campaigns and evacuations — and in these areas, many important developments took place in 2025. According to preliminary estimates, together with you we raised more than €1,250,000 (over one million euros!) in aid during the year.

This figure includes personal fundraisers, BYSOL campaigns (such as the Children’s Fundraiser), as well as fundraising for initiatives — in all cases, Belarusians supported truly important causes. In total, around 250 personal fundraisers were completed in 2025, including 12 fundraisers for Belarusian volunteers in Ukraine. At the same time, both the number of donations and their average amount continue to grow.

It is impossible not to mention the Emergency Fundraisers for Released Political Prisoners. There were two such campaigns this year, and each of them was record-breaking: €111,000 raised in the first campaign and €260,000 in the second. Both were completed in record time, and the amounts raised were twice the original targets.

The evacuation team worked intensively throughout the year. Their work was influenced by both the “Hayun case” and the ongoing systemic repression. Even after their release, political prisoners were not left alone — some were forced to seek safety outside Belarus. Over the year, we recorded 140 evacuation cases. But behind the dry word “cases” are real people — sometimes entire families. Today, they are safe.

Financial support for political prisoners is another key area of our work. Often, this assistance plays a crucial role in a person’s life after release — when there is an urgent need to purchase seasonal clothing, medicine, or cover other essential expenses. In 2025, nearly 500 such payments were provided.

In 2025, we also supported 10 initiative projects through mini-grants totaling nearly €37,000.

We also provide informational support. This year, our Hotline handled more than 2,000 requests of varying complexity. This service is anonymous and secure, and we provide it at a professional level.
