I was forced to leave Belarus urgently, as I am awaiting trial on a political criminal case.
I am an activist from Mosty. I spent the last year actively expressing my civic position. As a result — a political criminal case on four articles and three years of chemistry. After another criminal case was brought against me, I had to flee.
I twisted my ankle while walking to safety. But I had no choice — I had to walk several kilometers. My leg was so swollen that I couldn't step on it.
When I arrived in Kiev I went to the trauma center, where I had an X-ray taken. It turned out that I had a fracture with dislocation and torn ligaments. A cast was put on. On Tuesday I need to take some tests and if everything is normal, then on Wednesday I will be operated on. Since I have not had time to get a job and did not expect to need emergency medical care so soon, I am very much asking for help in paying the hospital and surgery bills.
