Gomel activist and administrator of the cultural-historical telegram channel Rezystans Nikita Slepianka was detained on April 6. Nikita's channel was recognized as an extremist formation, thus reinforcing the criminal case brought against the activist. Previously, Nikita was detained from 8 to 23 February on a trumped-up case. Now, on 4 April, he received a letter stating that he had to appear in court on 5 April and collect the phone that was confiscated during the arrest on 8 February.
Nikita was physically unable to come to court, as he was away on business. Therefore, on 5 April, close to 1:30 p.m., police officers came to his apartment and informed him through his mother that they were summoning him for interrogation. Nikita was going to go there himself, but at 7:41 a.m. on 6 April he sent a message that he was being detained.
“They're taking me away. Everything will be all right in December, honey. Good luck to you. And thank you for everything.”
At the time of writing this text, Nikita has been under investigation in the pre-trial detention center for over a month. He needs money to pay his lawyer and to buy necessary things for living in the prison store, as he does not receive any transfers except for money and letters from his relatives.
How much is needed?
800€ — attorney's fees and funds for living in the detention center.
