Help for a Belarussian worker who lost his job because of his civic position

  • Story

My name is Igor Shkoba. On 10.08.20 I was severely beaten by law enforcement officers in my city for going out to support our people in striving for honest and open elections. Actively participated with my family in chains of solidarity, in freedom march, after which the superior management has decided to fire me, having put before the fact.

Continuing to defend my point of view, I am unable to find employment to this day. We find ourselves in conditions that are beyond the means of me and my family. The saving grace is that it is possible to find seasonal work, but in winter it is a bit more difficult. Repeatedly when I applied to companies, the security department would immediately refuse me a job.

I have to turn to you for help and thank every person who cares, who supports Belarusians risking their health, work and prosperity. Now we are deprived of the right to a free and decent life, but we are not deprived of our honor and dignity. Thank you for your help, thanks to your support and solidarity we know and believe that we are not alone!
