Recovery and Rehabilitation Support for a Belarussian Volunteer

  • Story

My name is Maxim Prazenik. I am a recognized political prisoner, a former Belarussian volunteer in the Ukrainian army.

On 17.03 I crossed the Ukrainian-Polish border and faced a problem. I cannot pay for my accommodation, food and other basic needs.

A little about myself: I was convicted under Article 342 of the Criminal Code (organization and preparation of actions that grossly violate public order, or active participation in them) for three years in prison. I managed to escape from the country to Ukraine, but in 2022 a full-scale invasion began in Ukraine and I voluntarily decided to take part in the defense of Ukraine as part of the AFU.

After a certain amount of time in the service I had to break my contract because of health problems that emerged. At this point I am very uncomfortable asking for help, but I really need it. I will be extremely grateful to every caring person for the help rendered.

How much is needed?

4000 € — for adaptation, housing and recovery after participation in military actions in Ukraine.
