Support for former political prisoner student forced to leave in Belarus

  • Story

For the first time in my life I went to a rally on August 9th, to defend my right to live in a free country, without a usurper in power. I went to all the rallies in 2020, went to two major protests in Minsk.

On September 6, 2020 I was detained at a rally (I was 16 at the time), I was given a 10 base fine and I was summoned to the Investigative Committee and the prosecutor's office, but I never went there.

And on February 3, 2022 I was summoned to the police department, supposedly to question me about the case of my friend, but I did not come out of there. I was detained and a criminal case was opened under 342 part. 1, I allegedly organized protests in Grodno. I got out of jail on May 6 and was sentenced to 2.6 years of restricted freedom.

I was expelled from college. I served my sentence, but in April I evacuated with the help of BYSOLl to Poland, because they wanted to change my regime to imprisonment. Now I am in Warsaw and I need permanent housing until I get international protection, money for food and clothes since I left without it, one jeans, 5 T-shirts. And for other possible expenses.

I am grateful for the support and I promise that I will spend the money only on necessary things.

How much is needed?

1200 € — Housing, food, clothing. I have to find a place to live permanently, at least for the next few months, until I am granted international protection.
