My name is Dimitri Dikun. On March 4, 2022, my family was arrested. This is the case of the Svetlogorsk Rail Guerrillas. My brother Denis Dikun was given 23 years. My sister's husband Dmitry Ravich got 22 years. My father-in-law's brother, Oleg Molchanov — 21 years. In addition to the sentence, they were also fined 450 base units, 150 each.
In total, our relatives were sentenced to 66 years. During the Russian troops' advance into Kiev from Gomel, they burned a cabinet with electronic equipment on the railroad in order to slow down the movement of Russian military equipment to the Ukrainian border. As a result, traffic lights and turn signals on a section of the railroad Zhlobin — Kalinkovichi, which leads to Ukraine, were turned off. This happened on February 28, 2022. The guerrillas were detained in Svetlogorsk on March 4. They were tried in the Gomel regional court.
The family had to pay for three lawyers themselves. Each of the convicts was left with small children. Their relatives had to collect parcels every month, which took a lot of money. We have big debts and a big fine.
