After undergoing heart surgery, Siarhei is now in recovery and cannot work yet. He needs help to cover the costs of medication, medical examinations, and housing during rehabilitation.
Hello! My name is Siarhei*.
In 2020, I was fired from MTZ for taking part in peaceful protests. Since then, my life has changed drastically: I tried to start anew in Poland, but it didn’t work out, and I had to return home.
This summer, I was diagnosed with a serious illness – infective endocarditis, an inflammation of the heart valves caused by bacteria. The disease was destroying one of the valves in my heart, and surgery was necessary.
I recently underwent valve replacement surgery. Now I am entering the recovery period, which requires medication, tests, and rehabilitation. I cannot yet return to physical work, and my savings have long since run out.
I am asking for help to raise €1500 – this amount will allow me to pay rent and focus on regaining my health. After that, I will be able to start looking for work again with renewed strength.
Thank you to everyone who stands by me!
