My name is Alexander, and I am the same person who on the first day of the war donated 2,000 euros to support the AFU. After that I was charged with financing of terrorism and convicted. By some miracle, I managed to leave Belarus.
Now I don't regret anything. If I went back in time — I would have done the same thing. After taking part in the rallies, fighting for my vote at the election, after the searches and beatings — I'm not afraid of anything. I have only one fear left: for my abandoned parents in Belarus who are now taking upon themselves all the pressure of Lukashenko's repressive system.
I understood and took responsibility for my actions. Now I'm starting to build a new life. Yes, it's hard. Yes, at the moment I lost my business, money in my accounts, everything I saved up for more than 10 years. However, it is now that I have no right to give up. I have my wife and child with me, who on top of that has a disability. They were forced to leave their home because of me. I understand that, too.
Now it's hard for me to ask for help. I have always helped others, and at this point in my life, I need it myself in order to get back on my feet and continue to help others. Funds are needed to pay for living expenses, utilities, and to live for the first time. I am confident that all will be well, we will all go home soon and build our own country. Free!
Live Belarus! Hail to Ukraine!
