I am a former volunteer fighter and the wife of a fighter of the Kalinouski Regiment, who went missing in action in 2024. I am reaching out to you for support because I cannot cope with this situation on my own.
In 2020, my then boyfriend and I took part in the protests. Later, we were forced to leave for Poland because we feared political persecution. A year later, we got married.
After the full-scale war began, we moved to Ukraine and joined the Kalinouski Regiment. We served in different units. At the end of 2023, I was forced to leave the service for health reasons, while my husband remained in service. Someday I will be able to tell many stories about our service, but now this is impossible so as not to put our loved ones at risk.
In 2024, while carrying out a combat mission, my husband went missing. I am now trying to formalize his status and the benefits he is entitled to, but this is very difficult to do. My own passport has expired, and since then I have been unable to legalize my status properly, work officially, receive medical care, or use banking services.
In addition, I have developed health problems of my own: due to a sharp and unusual physical strain on my body, joint damage and arthrosis have begun to develop. Moreover, during my service I sustained a knee injury – a subchondral fracture of the tibia. For a long time, I could not properly put weight on the injured leg and was limited in my movements.
Overall, I am currently without documents, without a steady income, and without access to full treatment. I am trying to resolve all these issues, but I need support. I am asking for help!
