My husband is facing 3 years in prison for the videos from the protests he took part in that were found in his phone. After he was taken away, I was left alone with two children.
In 2018, Anton (name changed for security reasons, BYSOL Foundation has all identification documents) and I had a baby girl with Down syndrome. This diagnosis came as a surprise to us because during the pregnancy the doctors said everything was fine. I don't know what I would have done if it hadn't been for my husband, who helped me cope with the shock and was a support and encouragement.
A year and a half ago we decided to have another baby. During our second pregnancy, we were recommended to have an amniocentesis, which is a procedure where a thin needle is used to take a little bit of amniotic fluid for testing to know in advance about a possible genetic disease. However, we got an infection during the procedure and our second daughter was born prematurely.
We spent a month on a ventilator and two more in the hospital. But the girl came out. However, if she is not taken care of, she can fall behind in development.
My husband helped me a lot during all this time — he drove the children to classes, he was there for me and provided support. But after he was taken away, I was left alone.
I need help to provide the girls with decent care and to pay for the necessary developmental and rehabilitation classes.
Thank you in advance for your support!
