My husband, Denis V. Boltut, was detained as a suspect on September 25 as part of a case of mass riots. Later he was charged under Article 342 of the Criminal Code — “Group Actions Grossly Violating Public Order”. In early February it became known that Boltut was also charged under part 1 of article 293 of the Criminal Code (organization of mass riot) and article 364 of the Criminal Code (violence or threat of violence against police). He was kept in the pre-trial detention center in Zhodzina, then was transferred to pre-trial detention center #1 in Minsk. The trial has not yet taken place, tentatively in mid-May.
