Hello!
My name is “Tiger”. Of course, this is not a name, but a call sign. I recently returned from Ukraine and I want to tell you my story. And also ask for help.
Before the elections in 2020, I was an activist and supported Svetlana Tikhanovskaya. And during the violence perpetrated by the security forces on August 9-11, I took to the streets and participated in peaceful protests. I was then detained — there was a raid near the Red Church — and sent to a pre-trial detention center for several days. Fortunately, I wasn’t beaten too much, but the impressions remained so-so.
When street activity began to subside, I decided not to take risks and left Belarus because I was afraid that I would be exposed in many places. In addition, I was afraid that I would be detained for my activity before the elections. First I went to Ukraine, and there I applied for a Polish visa and after some time I found myself in a new country, where I had to build my life anew — learn the language, look for a job, socialize.
When a full-scale war began in Ukraine, I could not stay away. So I decided to become a volunteer. My service took place in the Kalinovsky Regiment and in the Belarusian Volunteer Corps. I was an FPV pilot, but I went on several reconnaissance missions and participated in several assaults.
In September 2023, I felt that my time had come. Therefore, I completed my service and returned to Poland. Here I realized how much the war had exhausted me. And now I need to go through rehabilitation and find myself in life again.
Your support is very important to me. I want to go to a therapist who will help me recover, complete the necessary examinations and arrange my life.
I would be grateful for any support!
