Assistance to a Belarusian volunteer in purchasing protective equipment

  • Story

Good afternoon!
My name is Alexei.

After the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, seeing the obvious injustice, I considered it my duty to participate in the defense of Ukraine. I made my final decision after the liberation of the Kiev region, when I saw what the Russians had done in Bucha and Irpen. In May 2022, I came to Ukraine and became a volunteer fighter in the Volat Battalion of the Kalinovsky Regiment of the International Legion of Defenders of Ukraine. After finishing my service on the front line, I stayed in Ukraine as it became a new home for me.

In 2023, I started a project to develop ground robotic platforms (or complexes, for short they are called NRC). Their purpose is logistical support and evacuation of wounded from the battlefield. Step by step, we have formed a whole team, acquired a knowledge base and the necessary competencies. At the moment, we have already developed a prototype of a ground remote-controlled platform with high cross-country capability. The first tests have been carried out at the proving ground. But now it is important to test our platform in combat conditions.

I am very eager that our RRS successfully passed the tests, fulfilled the task and in the near future it will be put into service of the AFU. Such platforms are needed on the front in large numbers because they deliver supplies of water, food, equipment, medicines and other necessary things to military positions instead of people. They also provide evacuation of the wounded from the battlefield, which often takes place in the conditions of incessant enemy shelling, with minimal involvement of other soldiers. NSCs help save soldiers' energy and do some of their work, and most importantly, these platforms save lives.

Without developer involvement in a combat environment, most of these trials end in the loss or destruction of ground platforms. That's why I decided to participate in testing our platform under fire myself. This way we can increase the probability of accomplishing the task and successfully passing the tests. Besides, it will become another contribution of Belarusians to help Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor.

Now I need your help to buy the necessary protective equipment, which will help me to fulfill the task and save my life in direct contact with the enemy. I already have some of the equipment, but it is important to complete it in order to protect myself as much as possible.

Razom do peramogi!
Glory to Ukraine! Live Belarus!
