March 28: Freedom Day in Warsaw — Let’s Celebrate Together!

  • Story

Freedom Day is not just a date on the calendar. It is a symbol of our independence and dignity. For more than a century, this day has reminded us that Belarus lives as long as our desire for freedom lives. And we continue to show the world that we exist.

Today, as this holiday is banned within the country, it is our responsibility to amplify the voice of Belarusians around the world. Warsaw will become one of the centers for celebrating the 108th anniversary of the proclamation of the Belarusian People’s Republic, and we invite you to be part of this event.

The main event of this year will be the restoration of the largest national flag, a symbol of our pride. On this festive day in Warsaw, we want to raise our large flag — visible from afar and understandable to everyone: Belarusians exist, and we continue to fight for freedom.

Program

16:00 — Gathering at Plac Trzech Krzyży
From there we will march together through the city.
Plac Zamkowy — Main concert
Performances by Belarusian musicians, speeches by politicians and activists.
Festive fair
Belarusian artisans, books, and the famous “draniki from political prisoners.”

Why We Need Your Support

To ensure that the event is safe, large-scale, and well-organized, we need resources. We — the Belarusian Association of Political Prisoners “DaVolі” — have taken responsibility for organizing the event; however, without your support, it cannot happen.

Who We Are

The Belarusian Association of Political Prisoners “DaVolі” was founded by individuals who have endured persecution and imprisonment but were not broken by it.

We know the price of freedom and work to support those who continue the struggle today.

Every donation is your contribution to keeping Belarus on the international agenda and strengthening our national identity.

Let’s show that there are many of us. Let’s make Freedom Day in Warsaw unforgettable.
