When one parent ends up behind bars and the other is forced to flee abroad, children suffer first and foremost. Today, hundreds of families of political prisoners live in exile, facing financial and daily hardships. Their children have lost their homes, communication, and often even basic necessities.
We are launching our traditional fundraising campaign to support these children. This isn’t abstract charity – it’s direct help to children who need our solidarity right now.
Each child up to 16 years old will receive €100. Applications for assistance will be accepted until May 18 inclusive.
How are collected funds typically spent?
– Excursions, trips, travel, summer camps for children;
– Educational clubs such as chess, drawing, etc.;
– Sports activities: swimming pool, tennis, football;
– Equipment for play and sports: balls, sneakers, scooters, bicycles, etc.
Who can apply for assistance?
– Families of political prisoners with children, where one or both parents have been imprisoned for at least three months (including “khimiya,” with or without assignment);
– Former political prisoners with children;
– Parents serving “home khimiya” who are disabled, pensioners, or raising children under three years old.
The children’s campaign is organized by the “Emergency Humanitarian Aid” initiative, which includes BYSOL, By_Help, “Country for Life”, and Dissidentby foundations. This fundraiser is timed for the summer holidays, ensuring Belarusians do not feel abandoned. Support this campaign. Even a small contribution can significantly improve someone’s life.
