On January 11, 2022, Maria was placed in a TDF for 3 days for commenting on a telegram channel. She was kept in inhumane conditions: all her warm clothes were taken away and she was not allowed to sleep. After that Maria was sentenced to a year of “chemistry” with a referral. No one took into account the fact that the girl had previously suffered from a serious illness and the conditions of her detention were inadequate.
Without waiting for the day of imprisonment, Maria together with her husband Arseniy decided to urgently leave Belarus. Because of the difficulties in crossing the border, the family had to leave all their belongings, including the equipment for the work of her husband, Arseniy (AP$ENT), who could not feel safe because of a number of political songs. Now the family is in dire need of financial assistance to cover the ongoing costs of rent, transfers, restoring equipment and buying basic necessities.
